chef software package provides A systems integration framework, built to bring the benefits of configuration management to your entire infrastructure., you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install chef
chef is installed in your system.
Make ensure the chef package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep chef *
You will get with chef package name, version, architecture and description in a table
